My previous professional career ( 30+ years) featured a background in real estate development with primary responsibility for financial management. By nature, “financial-types” are great listeners, very detail oriented and excellent analyzers of situations. These type of people also are frequently called on to “think outside the box” in order to help implement a successful strategy. Having worked in many related phases of real estate has enabled me to develop excellent relationship building skills with parties often having differing priorities. ( Having a sense of humor – and knowing that your wife and kids love you for sure - prove to be valuable "assistants" here ).
Since 2006, the excitement of being a Realtor has been in living the whole process. Constantly meeting new people and helping to evaluate needs and goals. The “search” – whether it be on the Buy side or the Sell side. Developing the framework of a contract, dealing with the changing of peoples minds and “re-routing” those needs and understandings. Maintaining and coordinating communications with the many other professionals needed to complete the real estate transaction. All of this action - I find most enjoyable.
I feel that it is my responsibility to be available when needed, display a high level of energy, be tenacious in efforts to solve problems, reassuring, professional and kind. When finalized – this experience should be looked back upon with a smile and a warm satisfactory feeling.
