     Dara Merz has practiced real estate for the past seven years in the North Shore and Southern New Hampshire areas. She currently services greater Newburyport and has extensive knowledge of the region, having resided in Newburyport, Amesbury, and Haverhill over the past 40 years. Dara’s experience is not limited to these towns, however. Having worked for seven years in a fluctuating market, she has had the benefit of traveling and closing transactions in a wide range of North Shore towns.

     With a teaching background, Dara not only considers it her job, but also her pleasure to educate buyers and sellers on the process of their real estate transactions. She believes that clients’ understanding of the process allows everyone to have a smoother, less stressful transition with a purchase or sale of a home. Dara takes great pride in excelling in client satisfaction, and her calm, warm demeanor and energetic personality create both positive experiences and successful transactions for her clients. Her genuine enjoyment of her job and the people she assists is evident in every interaction with her.  Dara looks forward to helping both novices and experts navigate their next home purchase or sale.

     Dara’s education and employment history include graduating with a BA in Psychology from UMASS Amherst; graduating summa cum laude from Salem State College with an MAT in English; completion of both the MA and NH real estate licensure exams; and over 100 hours of real estate training. Dara has worked as a counselor for residential youth programs, a teacher in both high school and community college for over ten years, and a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage for seven years. This is her first year with Bean Group, and she is excited to extend her real estate career with this strong real estate company. Dara finds that all her past educational and work experiences continue to assist her in interacting positively and productively with the wide range of clients and support professionals she meets in the real estate business. She feels that this is the key to having satisfied parties and favorable results throughout the course of the real estate process. Because along with good relationships, problem solving and negotiation are key elements to being an effective real estate agent, and Dara’s background promotes strength in all of these areas.

     As much as Dara loves working as a Realtor, her enjoyment of house hunting and negotiation are not her only interests. When not out showing houses or presenting offers, Dara enjoys spending time with her family, reading thick novels, or painting and crafting. She especially loves walking in Newburyport and enjoying all the window shopping, people watching, and scenic views the beautiful town offers. Her husband and two daughters, along with a houseful of family pets, keep all of her free time full of company, energy, and activity.

     Dara’s extensive background allows her to bring her experience and education to all aspects of her business. Her returning clients and numerous referrals are a testimony to the superior service she prides herself on delivering; one hundred percent satisfaction is her goal.
