Raised in Southern VT, surrounded by Stratton Mountain, Bromley Mountain and Magic Mountain, the mountains became Ross’ playground. Often referred to as the “child prodigy of snowboarding” Ross grew with the sport from the very beginning. He went on to attend Stratton Mountain School where he pursued his dream of becoming a professional snowboarder winning national and international titles. In 1998 Ross won the Bronze medal at the Nagano Olympics. In 2002 Ross won the Gold at The Salt Lake City Olympics in snowboarding halfpipe and led his teammates in an American sweep.

Ross enjoys spending time with his lovely wife, fellow real estate agent Marisa and their two beautiful daughters Meredith and Victoria. In his spare time he enjoys many sports that Southern VT has to offer, like snowboarding, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, golf, mountain biking, motocross, skateboarding, wakeboarding, boating, hiking, kayaking and fishing.

Currently Ross is:

  • The president of The Ross Powers Foundation and the Level field fund, a non-profit that helps to provide deserving athletes with grants to further their dreams of Olympic and National titles.
  • The director of the Snowboard program at his alma mater The Stratton Mountain School.
  • A Realtor® in the Stratton Mountain area since 2004.

Ross’ keen knowledge of the Vermont Mountains, and all the wonderful possibilities they provide for an active Vermont lifestyle, aid Ross in his mission to find his customers their perfect Vermont getaway.
