"My husband and I had the privilege of working with Steve Heikila during the early spring of 2007. Our son, who attends college in New Hampshire, had lost his on campus housing due to being a day late to sign up for it. The college offered no promises and very little hope in terms of his housing situation. They said they would put our son on a waiting list. After looking at what there was being offered for rentals, we decided to explore the option to buy. We reside in Massachusetts and were unfamiliar with New Hampshire codes and laws and such so we called upon Steve to help us with this process. Steve worked tirelessly to help. Along with searching for the right place for us that was within our budget guidelines, he also gathered info on properties that we had found and thought that we might be interested in. He scheduled all our appointments in a very convenient fashion as we live 2 hours away from where we looking to purchase property. When one property we were very interested in fell through due to the sellers unwillingness to negotiate the price down to where we could afford it, we were really in a bind. Time was passing and my sons friends, who did get campus housing but wanted to move in with him, were also on a deadline. The college was asking for a large, non-refundable deposit to hold their room assignments and we had no house to buy. We had about a two week window and Steve was working relentlessly to help. A few new prospects arose and we needed to look at them as soon as possible. He scheduled us showings for the very next weekend. I’ll never forget the day we drove up and actually found "the house" for us. The situation was dire. The weather was horrible. We met up with Steve and we all endured a long, treacherous drive in a blinding snowstorm. After we all agreed this was "the one" ( which took a couple of hours ) we put in our offer. Within a couple of days, we had agreed on a price and the ball was rolling. Steve handled everything and made the rest of the process effortless for us. We really had no worries after that. We had a purchase and sales signed in a timely manner and were able to secure housing for my son and his friends which was a huge burden lifted. After owning the house for a month, we got a letter in the mail from the college; We regret to inform you that we are not able to provide your son with housing at this time. Steve had saved the day. He was essential to the equation of getting this whole mess worked out. We don’t know what we would have done had this not worked out as well. We highly recommend Steve to anyone looking to buy or sell. He gives 100% plus of an effort."
