Wentworth By The Sea Area Homes & Townhouses
Proudly
showcasing a recently constructed clubhouse, Wentworth By The
Sea Country Club continues its tradition of excellence. The
clubhouse offers all the conveniences of modern-day leisure such
as a formal Dining Room and Grill Room, fully appointed locker
rooms, private dining areas, a Kids Club with a large screen TV
and much, much more.
Stepping outside the clubhouse, you will enjoy a beauty and
history that cannot be offered by any other club. With ocean
views and natural landscaping surrounding the 18 hole
championship golf course and the contemporary tennis and pool
complex, Wentworth By The Sea Country Club is the perfect oasis
from the stresses of everyday life.
Etched out of the New England landscape, this genuine
Scottish links style course presents challenges for all levels
of play, while providing some of the most magnificent ocean
views on the NH seacoast. Originally designed by the "father of
New England golf", George Wright in 1897, the course was later
improved by notable golf course architect Donald Ross in 1921,
and expanded to 18 holes under Geoffrey Cornish's direction in
1964. Today, we continue to make improvements to the course,
enhance the Club's amenities and develop its "family" appeal.
The dramatic landscape of the course, with undulating
fairways and demanding water hazards makes Wentworth By The Sea
Country Club an incomparable golf experience. The challenges of
the course are unique to its original design and natural
terrain, making it also, an enjoyable choice for charity
tournament play. Hosting a number of golfing events throughout
the season, a day of golf at Wentworth By The Sea Country Club
is memorable for both its members and guests.

Additional Comments
This course was built
near the Atlantic Ocean. The terrain is very hilly, and many
deep sand bunkers have been incorporated into the course design.
The fairways are wide open, but there are water hazards that
come into play on seven holes, including #2, a 156-yard, par 3,
requiring a carry over a pond. The club replaced three holes
with three new ones in 1997. This club was originally founded in
1895 and has been listed by the USGA as one of the first 100
clubs established in the U.S. In addition, "GOLF Magazine"
recognized it in their 1995 list of "The First 100 Clubs in
America."
NOTE: While every effort has been made to assure accuracy,
we advise you to check all information with the golf course
before booking your tee-time or driving to the course.
